Mark heads our dispute resolution team. He has extensive trial experience at all Court levels and is a Faculty Member for the Litigation Skills Programme. In addition to his trial work, Mark also has an interest in alternative dispute resolution and regularly acts as both a mediator and arbitrator. He is a National Chair of LEADR, a non-profit organisation that promotes alternative dispute resolution. Mark has attended advanced mediation training through Bond University and at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine University Law School. He has also undertaken negotiation training through Harvard Law School. Mark has been appointed as a mediator for the New Zealand Domain Name Dispute Resolution Service and is also an Associate of the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute.

Prior to joining Sharp Tudhope, Mark worked for two national law firms in Auckland and as a lawyer in Papua New Guinea. He is a former Council member of the Waikato Bay of Plenty District Law Society. Mark also served on the New Zealand Law Society Disputes Resolution Committee and is currently on the NZLS Civil Litigation Tribunal Committee. He is the former Presiding member of the Electrical Workers Licensing Group Complaints Assessment Committee and previously served as a council member for 7 years on the Waikato Bay of Plenty Law Society. Mark served various Law Society Sub Committees.
