The Acorn Foundation is a Charitable Trust operating in Tauranga, New Zealand. It was established in 2003, to encourage people to consider leaving a gift in their will to benefit the local community forever. People can also make gifts during their lifetime to build up their fund and maximise the tax rebates now available.
The Acorn Foundation is based on a model established in New York in the 1920's. The Foundation manages funds on behalf of its donors. The investment income earned is distributed.
